Tattoo design for my personal trainer, Sergio Fonseca.
Designed to go on his right shoulder, with the dragon's left wing ending on his pectoral muscle. The images of the dragon, snake and monkey represent the chinese astrological symbols of himself, his wife and their son, respectively. In addition to this symbolism, I've also incorporated the initials "LTF" into the chest of the dragon - the initials of Sergio's mother.
The dragon is shown in a position of strength, holding and sheltering the snake and monkey. The snake is bold and direct to the dragon, while being intertwined with it and forming the "infinity" symbol as they dance around each other. The monkey is connected to both snake and dragon, holding tightly on to both.
I purposely left this as a simple outline as the final tattoo artist will no doubt wish to customize the illustration with their own stylized scales, fur and such. Sergio simply wished for a concept and layout to present, and both he and his wife are very happy with what I have created for him.
