This illustration was done as part of a university project on creating a technical illustration. Given my infatuation with all things Talon, I decided to recreate my car. While other students were drawing razors or toasters, I was working from owner's manuals and photos to accurately recreate my 1995 Eagle Talon.

The illustration was done in Adobe Illustrator, using gradient meshes to simulate the shading over the various body panels. The lower illustration shows the complexity of the meshes that actually comprise what you see.

The benefits of creating this in Illustrator were that A) The vector-based illustration can be resized infinitely without any loss in image quality, and B) The program allowed for much more precise measurements than a pixel-based program (such as Photoshop).
